Royal Concourse

Posted: December 12, 2013 in Restaurants

I don’t trust seaman when it comes to choosing a place to dine, not when I know that this person loves all eat-all-you-can restaurants on earth. I know for one that this person hates a classy looking restaurant regardless of its affordability. So, why would I allow him to talk me out on dinning at Royal Concourse?

He was raving about it as if it is the best restaurant in the city. I cannot help but get intrigue. I thought at first that Royal Concourse and Grand Majestic are just the same. When I learned that it isn’t, I was finally convinced.

Sheryl and I insisted that we just walk from E-mall going to San Carlos University and take a Jeepney from there. I am not one who remembers the way around but yeah, we walked so that the next time we plan to go there, which is probably never. We will know just what to do to get there.

Royal Concourse is far from what I had in mind. It is nothing like Grand Majestic. When we got there, we paid right away. No one assisted us or lead us to any table available. So, we were the one who came looking for any available space. I kept looking around and noticed that there is nothing exceptional about the place. Their Christmas décor is just normal. The place though big, I still thought that it was packed. If the place is packed, then, that must mean that they have incredible foods.

But I was not there for the decorations, nor was I there for the kind of tables and chairs that they have. I was there for the food. This must be the exciting part. Should be!

 Here’s what we had:

Most of the photos here are from Sheryl’s blog.

My plate. I only had one California Maki. Sheryl had a bunch.

Seaman got this drink for me. It is too sweet but I was too thirsty to mind

A closer look on my plate. I ate this much. I don’t say I didn’t enjoy the food because i did.

The place is fine, the food is great. I did enjoy it a lot. I am glad we came a little late because I just can’t imagine being with too many hungry people. That would be too much!

I don’t mind that they no longer refill. That is fine.

I suggest you should go try this place. Expect that there will be a lot of people. There will be a lot of food choices too.

And don’t forget to prepare 208 pesos. Eat-all-you-can and drink-all-you can.
