Posted: March 2, 2014 in T-T-Thing Things

Finally, finally, I am posting my vanity.

I purchased this last January as an early birthday gift for myself. I wanted to wait until my birthday to write an entry about it but I realize that its already March and it’s my month after all. Why not?

So, Here it is…….

Some of my perfumes and a lotion from bath and body works. I love the smell. The wild daffodils is the one I am currently using to spray in my room. Not to brag but my room really smells good. 🙂

Also, if you might have noticed, I put my magazines at the bottom of my dresser. I am still finding a way to purchase the magazine stand I am raving about.I can’t have it now but I am so buying it.

I am crazy about this. I just loveeeeeeeeee it so much.

Aside from the cabinet that I got as a Christmas present to myself. I also got myself some of the things below. Others were gift but most of them were purchased by yours truly for my room.

This year, I will focus more on my room. I will try not to buy dresses or accessories.

My first curtain purchased at Gaisano Mall:

I like the curtain’s detailing a lot. The ribbon that I put here was purchased separately and I got that at Gaisano South for less than 50 pesos.  The curtain is at 420 pesos each and I have to have 2 curtains for my window. Isn’t this super cute???

Something that I got at Mepz bazaar and I got this at 180 pesos. I felt in love with it the moment I laid my eyes on it. I just felt like it will look perfect in my room.

Yes they are mini books or booklets? I don’t know how you call it but these are wonderful books. Self help books that are just very easy to read. I lab it!

Image

It took a little convincing from Sheryl before I agreed to just purchase a book for the 500 pesos that we had. It was all worth it. I like that this is a hard bound book and that its below 100 pesos. I think I had this for 75 pesos. Perfect!

Something that I got also at Mepz Bazaar. Seaman paid for this. Wahahahaha. Another of his many gifts for me. Don’t you love it? I do.

Ate Bilyn’s Christmas gift for mehh…. A jewelry gift set. Yay….. She is just awesome. She knows exactly what to give me.

This year I will try to splurge myself with something that will benefit me. Probably before this year ends, I will get myself my dream bed. I already have my dresser as my early birthday gift for me but blogging that will have to wait….

Go, go , go 2014.

Christmas Haul 2013

Posted: January 2, 2014 in T-T-Thing Things

I got myself a very expensive gift this 2013 Christmas. No, its not a gadget. Gadgets would be the last on my list.

I bought myself a cabinet that cost me 9k. It’s not very expensive for a pure wooden cabinet, I know. But I do think it’s all worth it.

Image

I bought this in a small store near E-mall. This was originally priced 11k

Image

These are all my whole dresses. I didn’t realize until now that I got at least 52 of them. LOL. Addict much? I had them color coordinated if you haven’t noticed.

Image

On the upper part I put all my pants, then all my blouses, and lastly my sleeveless. I tried to have them color coordinated. I’ve done a great job so far. 🙂

Image

These are all my shorts. Again color coordinated

Image

My skirts. Not all but most of it. I have more skirts than shorts. Once in my life I go gaga over skirts. Had I not given some of it, I’ll have this corner overstuffed.

Image

This is the last drawer. I put all my swimsuits here. I counted it and I have like 11 swimwear. LOL.

The first drawer has all my bras and the second drawer all my panties. hehehehehe

This is my first major purchase for my room. I still plan to have a dresser and a super nice bed. All should be pure wood.

I am happy for this Christmas gift. I just did’t get this, I worked really hard for this and I gave this a lot of thought before I had it purchased.

Finally…something to make me smile 🙂

These are all from LOvely. Her husband just arrived and I got all these 🙂

My second Victoria’s secret cologne from her. It smells good.

The first time I used this , I sneeze the whole day at the office but I don’t care. I think I can get used to smelling this good. I don’t really wear perfumes, you know. I think I am not just used to it. I never even had lotions before unless we receive a package from my aunt in Canada which rarely happens. I remember I get to use lotions only when I got a job because I could already afford it. My mother never get to buy lotions, perfumes, hair conditioners or even deodorants. I used “tawas”. My mother calls this ” unnecessary”. There are better things to buy and I have to agree with her.

I remember one time my mother had to punish me because I got 1 sachet of Creamsilk at our sari-sari store. I didn’t understand way back then why. She just told me Creamsilk is more expensive than the ordinary shampoo. We used only 1 sachet for the 4 of us , 5 including my youngest brother. My mother is very keen on our usage. You cannot waste water, you cannot waste shampoo, you cannot use the soap more than once. There are rules of consumption.

Looking back, I can say I have more than what I needed now and yet I am still not happy. Still not happy. 😦

Anyways, the dove soap really smells good too. I am all smiles 🙂

Chandelier IN The HOuse

This is the what we have at our dinning area.

I really didn’t realize this will look this good until it was finally hanged in the house.

I insisted that mom shouldn’t buy this because it would just make the house overly decorated.

But then again as always, she’s right about it. It looks good. I thank God this time that I have a mother who wants to always have her  way. Only this time :-)

Image

I like the color combination. We will change another color next time. For the first time, my bro Amil, did not complain.

Image

The chandelier at the Living room.

It serves its dual purpose. We could have a fan and the light at the same time. Cool :-)

Our original choice was colored green.  Same design but it run out of stock so we had this instead.

My father  said this is way better than the first choice since this complements our the floor. WHATEVER…..

Image

Well, what can I say? My mom really has taste.

I like what I see in the house. :-)

This is what I call the fruit of our labor. Next project will be my bro’s car. Good luck to both of us. I just want him to have his dream car. Nothing fancy, just something that he can use. After that, probably I can finally take care of myself. Buy the things that I want and have my dream vacation somewhere outside the country.

I can’t cook, I got it! I can’t even perfect a simple way of cooking rice. I tried my hand in cooking rice using a really big casserole last December 31 and it got me into trouble. I freaked out. It’s uncooked! LOL

Anyway so much with my misfortunes, here’s our new year preparations:

Image

I don’t know what’s the green bananas doing in the table wahahahahha

Image

Everything is simple. Our ice cream too

Image

Image

Image

Our 3 kinds of salads…. I don’t understand with my mom. Why 3 different salads. Whatever….

Image

For our drinks. It’s sweet…. Punch blah blah blah

Image

Everything my mom cooks is simple. I told you, I have to learn how to cook. I’ve been eating this on ordinary days.

Image

I was the one who instructed my mom how to cook this and unfortunately I taught her the wrong one wahahahha. Salt and sugar will do for this.

Inasal

The pasta is from CAnada and to tell you honestly? I can’t quiet comprehend the taste. I am all for Filipino foods. My gulay 🙂

Another ordinary menu

I love this cake from Goldilocks

This guy … REally…..

Everything in New Year is simple. We had a very simple menu and a very simple celebration. I am so looking forward to this year…..

I am very happy to see what become of the house. My mom is really something. She is a piece of art. I can’t believe that I am even saying this. She could be very pushy most of the time but she did a great job.

I spent 2013 in our new house. It’s been years that we worked really hard for this house. My mom had been pushing me in different directions, squeezing every single penny that I’ve earned.  Now, the fruit of my labor :-)

Image

My books. I’ve wanted a better book shelf but this is all I got at the moment. I’m still looking for a better one.

Image

I’ve been itching to show Sheryl a photo of our dinning table. Now here it is and I just love it.

Amil’s mini theater. I really don’t understand what’s with this guy but he spent too much on this. Love it though :-)

My parents room. The only room in the house that isn’t empty.

Amil’s almost empty room

I hope I can show more of our house but this is what we have so far. My mom has lots of plans and she’s still saving for it and is still pushing us for it. Okay, since this is a new year, I will give her a chance and will even thank her for this.
